Kinja'd!!!

I’ll be leaving next Monday on a road trip from Minneapolis to Las Vegas and back. It’s a drive I’ve done before, and I have no solid plans other than maybe spending one night in Denver and another in Salt Lake City as I have done previously. Initial thoughts are: Home to Denver on day 1. Easy enough drive. Denver to Salt Lake day 2. Easy drive. Salt Lake to Vegas day 3. Super easy drive. Vegas wednesday night through Sunday morning, then start heading home. Might shoot for Vegas to Denver, on day 1, and Denver to Home on day 2.

Unless, there are other suggestions? Definitely down for getting a beer or food on any evening, or going to a mini-meetup if anyone’s interested. I’ll be in Vegas for the Supras in Vegas show, then heading back home.

I’ve done the Fargo to Denver before and then Denver to Vegas another time. I think its an easier trip to do Denver to Vegas in 1 day compared to Minneapolis to Denver.

I’ve done Minneapolis to Denver 3 or 4 times. It’s easy enough.

My MK3 Supra is the only car I’ve owned that I actually miss. Keep it as long as possible, cherish it, and wax it often :(

What wheels are those? I dig em.

Avid.1 AV52. No longer made due to a copyright infringement claim. Typical fake wheel company. *shrug*

I’m over the ‘expensive wheels only’ game. I had around $4,000 into a set of Work wheels and tires...for what? Approval from others? Fuck it. I like the look of these, and others do too. :D

It’s paid for, and not going anywhere outside of where I drive it. Paint ranges from decent to poor depending on what part of the car you’re looking at, so i’m less concerned with the overall cosmetic appearance, which is a blessing in its own way since I don’t have to care if there’s a new scratch or ding.

Mechanically though, it’s stout and sound. Cometic metal head gasket, arp hardware, 1 piece driveshaft from driveshaftshop, fortune auto coils, hps silicone all the hoses, OEM gaskets throughout the engine from the front main to the rear main. Energy suspension bushings, new ball joints, tie rods, steering rack, wheel bearings. HKS downpipe, Tanabe catback, HPS intake hose after a stock intake box.

Mine spun main and rod bearings and ate the crank, destroyed the cams and head, the oil pump had seized and broke . It sat for 7 months as I hunted for parts, 7M stuff was difficult to find , 1j/2j priced out of my budget, no way I was doing a V8, needed a straight six. I had something up my sleeve . Unfortunately, I was forced to move it, I was out of space, which meant I had to either store it somewhere else or sell it. The replacement engine, transmission, electrics, and odd bits that I had procured and waiting on delivery, were stolen. S o in a fit a rage I sold it, cheap. Like less than what the 265 series rear tires cost me, cheap.

Had some rust, dings, 1 dents, most of the car was cobbled together with parts from 3 other cars. It was a bit rough, but I loved driving it. Especially though downtown late and night and early morning. The 7M made some mighty noises. Was really hoping to see what the OM606 would have sounded/driven like. But alas, the whole shipping container it was in disappeared , along with on e of my other cars in the container . STILL waiting on insurance... so I have another Fiero now. I won’t get into that one.

Sorry to hear that. :(

I just had the engine apart and everything looked really good inside. Zero debris/flakes/anything in the oil pan, surfaces looked nice and smooth, no galling, no anything. If the engine ever goes, I’ll eat the credit card bill and slap a 2J in it, but based on what my mechanic and I saw that should be a long way down the road. 139k miles and running like a sewing machine.
